SUMMARY:Annual Training: Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
DESCRIPTION:This year we are very excited to be hosting Dr. Martin Bohus\, Psychiatrist and Professor at the University of Mannheim\, Germany. Dr. Bohus will provide an extended three-day training on DBT for Complex PTSD. \nThe training takes place on Saturday – Monday\, December\, 14\, 15 and 16\, 2019. We encourage early registration as we anticipate we will once again reach a cap on registration. \n[button title=”REGISTER ONLINE HERE” link=”#register” target=”” align=”” icon=”” icon_position=”” color=”” font_color=”” size=”2″ full_width=”” class=”” download=”” rel=”” onclick=””] \nEvent Details: \nDate: December 14\, 15 & 16 \nTime: 8:30am-5pm \nLocation: YMCA\, 20 Grosvenor St. \n  \nAbout the Workshop \nThis three-day workshop introduces Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Complex PTSD (DBT-PTSD). DBT-PTSD is tailored to treat adult PTSD after childhood abuse\, including those with borderline personality disorder (BPD). \nThis workshop is intended for mental health professionals interested in treating complex PTSD using evidence-based principles and procedures. Basic knowledge of DBT is recommended. \n  \nPresenter \nMartin Bohus received his specialty in Psychiatry and in Psychosomatic Medicine. Since 2003 he holds the Chair of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy at Heidelberg University and is Scientiﬁc Director at the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim. He holds a visiting professorship at University of Antwerp and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bohus has received several awards for psychotherapy research. He is past president of the European Society for the Studies of Personality Disorders (ESSPD) and president of the German Association for DBT. He was President and initiator of the 1st International Congress on Borderline Personality Disorder\, Berlin 2010.
