Clinical Psychological Associate

VIRTUAL & IN PERSON

Janice Weintraub has practiced as a Psychological Associate for over 30 years and is registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) in Clinical and School Psychology. She holds a B.A. from McGill University, an M.A. from York University, and extensive doctoral-level training in Clinical-Developmental Psychology. Her early work in children’s mental health fostered understanding of how emotions shape and are shaped by relationships over time.

Janice now works exclusively with older adolescents, adults, and couples, bringing a warm, attuned, and collaborative presence to therapy. She supports clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, work or school difficulties, and parenting concerns. She also supports partners seeking to strengthen connection, repair ruptures, or deepen intimacy.

Her approach is trauma-informed and attachment-oriented. She draws from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based models. With couples, she incorporates Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and Developmental Models as well.

Guided by the belief that emotions signal the way toward meaningful change, Janice creates a safe environment where all experiences are welcomed. She helps clients cultivate secure and integrated patterns of relating – with others and within themselves.

If you’d like to work with Janice, please schedule a Discovery Call with our Care Coordination Team. They will reach you at your chosen time and then move your request forward to Janice or another more suitable therapist right away.
