Annabelle Moore is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at York University working under the clinical supervision of Dr. Adam Iskric, Ph.D., C.Psych. She has completed clinical training at the York University Psychology Clinic and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), where she has provided assessment and treatment for mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders, as well as posttraumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder. Annabelle has also worked as a therapist and assessor on research trials at Toronto Metropolitan University, delivering interventions focused on sexual health, substance use, and mental wellbeing among sexual and gender minority men with social anxiety disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder. Her clinical and research interests include borderline personality disorder, trauma, emotion dysregulation, substance use, and sexual wellbeing.
Annabelle’s approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, warmth, and a nonjudgmental presence. She practices from a substance-neutral, LGBTQ+-affirming, and sex-positive perspective, and values working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Annabelle is trained in several evidence-based therapies, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and tailors treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.
