VIRTUAL & IN PERSON

Callista Forchuk is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at York University working under Clinical Psychologist supervision of Dr. Tanya Teall. She completed training at the York University Psychology Clinic, providing assessments and psychotherapy to adults experiencing emotion dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and attention and focus difficulties. She received additional training through clinical research at York University, where she completed comprehensive psychological assessments for borderline personality disorder. Callista’s research focuses on mindfulness and emotional well-being, with particular interest in the ways that mindfully responding to daily stressors promotes emotional stability. Callista approaches therapy with warmth, compassion, and respect for each client’s unique story. Grounded in mindfulness and evidence-based care, her goal is to support clients in building emotional stability, stronger relationships, and a more meaningful life. She uses an integrative, client-centred approach to therapy, incorporating techniques from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) into her clinical work.

If you’d like to work with Callista, please schedule a Discovery Call with our Care Coordination Team. They will reach you at your chosen time and then move your request forward to Callista or another more suitable therapist right away.
