Parisa Sepehri is a PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University and is currently working under the supervised practice of Dr. Shelley McMain. She completed her clinical training across major hospital settings in Montreal and Toronto, including the Integrated Day Program at the Jewish General Hospital, the Crisis and Inpatient units at St. Mary’s Hospital Center, and the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), where she completed her full-time pre-doctoral residency.
Parisa has worked with adolescents, adults, and families, including neurodivergent and gender-diverse clients across a range of mental health concerns. She has a particular interest in emotions and emotion dysregulation. Her areas of specialization include the treatment of BPD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal difficulties, and the assessment of autism.
Parisa’s training includes Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including adaptations for complex trauma and diverse populations. In the therapy room, Parisa brings humour, authenticity, and a non-judgmental stance. She values the inner wisdom that each person brings to therapy and is honoured to work collaboratively with people across gender identities, sexual orientations, and cultures. She sees therapy as a collaborative process of understanding emotions and patterns while developing practical skills for responding in new ways.
If you’d like to work with Parisa, please schedule a Discovery Call with our Care Coordination Team. They will reach you at your chosen time and then move your request forward to Parisa or another more suitable therapist right away.
