Tamara obtained her Masters of Social Work (MSW) in 1997 and is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has 25+ years of experience working in women’s shelters and mental health clinics as a Therapist and Clinical Manager. Her work integrates techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Over many years Tamara has worked with people challenged by trauma, borderline personality disorder, self-harm, addictions, anxiety, relationships, and aging. Her practice also includes supporting families who have a loved one with BPD and other mental health challenges.

Tamara is intentional in ensuring her clients feel seen and wholly accepted within therapy. She deeply values the dynamic between therapist and client. She provides a safe, collaborative space for you to share your history, explore your thoughts and feelings, enhance your strengths, and learn new skills to make changes in your life.
